2019 Fall Employer Summit

Our Employer Summit was held on October 7, 2019 and the reviews were extremely favorable with many of the attendees suggesting that these topics should be presented at our future events.  The agenda, which is still listed below, clearly illustrated the cost benefits of being self-insured and why it is necessary for an employer to be involved in the process.  Employers need to educate themselves on the process and what questions need to be asked of their selected partners.  Watch for more of this type of content in our future conferences.

Employer Summit Agenda:

  1. Self-Insurance for a More Beautiful Bottom Line:  Learn how easy it is to become self-insured, how the ASP frees your working capital, why self-insurance costs less than high deductible programs, and specific strategies to maximize your self-insurance program.
  2. Managing your TPA:  How to select, manage and evaluate your TPA
  3. Transitioning to a new TPA.  Learn what steps need to be taken to ensure a smooth transition
  4. Managing Your Utilization Review Service Provider, are you asking the right questions to ensure proper reviews are taking place?
  5. A Trip Behind the PBM Curtain:  Understanding spread pricing, transparency, rebates, and other drivers and how they affect your pharmacy costs
  6. When Your Excess Work Comp Carrier Fails You
  7. Case Law:  Three Missed Opportunities for Employers

CSIA's 2020 Annual Meeting will be held on April 20th and 21st at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim.  This conference is always well attended and will often sell out.  With the conference being held on a Monday and Tuesday, many of our attendees will take advantage of the terrific hotel rate we get and will bring the family and visit Disneyland.  More information will be available in the coming weeks so be sure to visit us again
